Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi informed the Odisha Assembly on Monday that the Vigilance department has registered corruption cases against 90 state government officials over the past five months.
Responding to a question by BJD legislator Prarap Dev, the Chief Minister stated that his government is committed to a policy of zero tolerance towards corruption.
“Since the BJP government assumed office, the Vigilance department has filed 90 corruption cases between June and October,” Majhi said during the Assembly session.
He further highlighted that the highest number of cases—20—were registered against officials of the Revenue Department, followed by 18 cases involving officials from the Panchayati Raj Department.
