Bargarh (Odisha): A vibrant celebration of women empowerment took center stage at the IBC Pink Power 2025 event, organized by the Indian Beauty Council (IBC), Bargarh chapter, at the Biju Patnaik Town Hall. The event featured a diverse array of competitions including fashion shows, reels contests, traditional cooking, and dance performances — all designed to spotlight the hidden talents of women and homemakers from the region.
A major highlight of the evening was the inspiring ramp walk by students from Bargarh Bapuji School for the Differently-Abled, earning widespread praise and admiration from the audience. Their confident participation stood as a powerful symbol of inclusivity and empowerment.
The event was graced by chief guest Mahadev Jaiswal, Director of IIM Sambalpur, and Samiksha Nayak, Deputy Registrar of Bargarh District, as the guest of honour. Renowned Odia chef Sangeeta Das, dance academy director Ankita Sarangi, and cultural figure Yajnaseni Mahapatra were among the key judges for the competitions.
IBC Pink Power 2025 also recognized the contributions of notable women from different fields. Sougata Sarangi and Nura Bibi were felicitated with certificates and mementoes for their outstanding achievements.
IBC Chairperson Minati Sahu led the event with support from organizers such as Suchismita Sarangi (anchor), Sarita Sahu, Prajna Utkalika Mishra, and Pratibha Mahanty. Winners of various contests were awarded by the dignitaries in an effort to encourage local talent and creativity.
The IBC continues its mission to uplift women by nurturing their skills, promoting self-reliance, and building platforms for recognition. This year’s celebration proved once again that empowerment begins with opportunity — and that every woman, regardless of background or ability, deserves her moment to shine.
