Bhubaneswar – In a proud moment for Odisha and Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan (SOA) Deemed to be University, Prof. (Dr) Neeta Mohanty, Pro-Vice Chancellor (Research Collaboration), has been conferred with the esteemed Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow.
The 425-year-old Royal College, based in Glasgow, is a globally respected institution known for its commitment to enhancing healthcare standards through education and innovation. Prof. Mohanty was recognised for her remarkable contributions to dental education, research, public health, and innovation.
With an illustrious career spanning nearly three decades, Prof. Mohanty previously served as the Dean of the Institute of Dental Sciences (IDS), SOA, for over ten years. Under her leadership, the institution witnessed significant advancements in oral health education and institutional development.
Throughout her career, she has authored more than 100 peer-reviewed publications, contributed to several books and book chapters, and secured both Indian and US patents, many of which were supported by government-funded research.
Prof. Mohanty also leads the Cochrane India Affiliate Centre at IDS and is the founder of Orease Oral Care Solutions Private Limited, a start-up focused on innovative oral healthcare products.
Her accomplishments have been acknowledged globally. In 2018, she was awarded a fellowship by the Academy of Dentistry International, USA. Her other accolades include the Dr APJ Abdul Kalam National Award, Best Dental Administrator Award, and the Times Power Woman Award, further highlighting her exemplary contributions to the field.
