New Delhi- In a stirring address before the commencement of the Monsoon Session of Parliament 2025, Prime Minister Narendra Modi set a bold, unifying tone for the nation. With the symbolism of the monsoon—renewal, abundance, and growth—he invoked the spirit of national pride, calling this session not just routine parliamentary business but a celebration of India’s triumphs on multiple fronts.
At the heart of his speech was ‘Operation Sindoor’, a mission that has quickly become a defining emblem of India’s growing military prowess. In just 22 minutes, India’s armed forces successfully neutralized high-value targets, demonstrating precision, preparedness, and absolute dominance. “This was not just an operation—it was a message to the world,” said the Prime Minister. “A message that India will strike decisively, protect its interests, and stand tall.”
He reminded the nation that this swift, high-impact operation had been publicly announced beforehand, and the Indian Army executed it with complete success. Modi emphasized that such confidence comes from trust in our forces and our “Made in India” defence infrastructure, which is now drawing admiration from world leaders. The Prime Minister said that India’s defence innovation is no longer an internal affair—it’s a global talking point.
Beyond the battlefield, Modi celebrated the fluttering of the Indian tricolour in space-a historic moment when it flew at the International Space Station. It marks India’s bold entry into elite scientific territory and has sparked widespread national enthusiasm for innovation and exploration.
In his speech, he also reflected on India’s journey from vulnerability to victory. From once being tagged as part of the Fragile Five economies, India is now nearing its goal of becoming the world’s third-largest economy. Modi proudly stated that 25 crore people have risen out of poverty, inflation is under control, and the digital economy is surging ahead with UPI and real-time payment systems setting global benchmarks.
But it wasn’t all numbers and technology. The Prime Minister reminded the nation of hard-fought social victories too-declaring that India is now free of trachoma, a major public health achievement. He also commended the diminishing influence of Naxal and Maoist extremism, as former red zones turn green, signalling peace, development, and constitutional empowerment.
Touching upon India’s global diplomatic stance, Modi recalled the unity shown by political parties after the Pahalgam killings—where domestic consensus led to successful international outreach, exposing terrorism’s state sponsors and strengthening India’s voice on global platforms.
As Parliament prepares to deliberate on key bills, Modi called on all Members to carry the spirit of unity forward-differences in ideology are natural, he said, but national interest must be sacred ground. “When we speak in one voice, the world listens.”
In essence, this Monsoon Session isn’t just legislative—it’s a season of saluting India’s courage, from spacefrontiers to battlefronts, and from grassroots transformation to global recognition. And leading that salutation is Operation Sindoor-a 22-minute statement that India’s military, like its spirit, is unshakable.
