Bhubaneswar- Bhubaneswar is set to host one of Eastern India’s largest textile gatherings as ODISHA TEX 2025 kicks off tomorrow at the State Convention Centre. The highly anticipated event, scheduled for July 25, will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi in the presence of senior government officials, industry leaders, and global investors.
Over 500 delegates from across India are expected to attend the event at Lok Seva Bhawan. Participants will include leading textile manufacturers, startup founders, and young professionals from major textile hubs such as Tirupur, Bengaluru, Surat, Punjab, West Bengal, and the National Capital Region. The event seeks to position Odisha as a dynamic hub for textiles, apparel, and technical textile manufacturing.
The state government will mark the occasion by launching three new textile parks in Balangir, Jagatsinghpur, and Keonjhar districts, along with two apparel parks in Ganjam and Sambalpur and a dedicated footwear park in Cuttack. These infrastructure developments are part of a broader vision to transform Odisha into the ‘Textile Capital of India’ by 2030.
ODISHA TEX 2025 is expected to witness the signing of several investment agreements and policy announcements that will accelerate industrial development in the textile sector. It will also provide a platform for collaboration between state officials, national stakeholders, and international players interested in investing in apparel, footwear, accessories, technical textiles, and luggage manufacturing.
Industries Minister Sampad Chandra Swain, after reviewing final preparations, said the event is more than a conference. It is a mission to highlight Odisha’s growing strength in textiles while building a future of innovation, investment, and employment opportunities. He emphasized that ODISHA TEX 2025 will play a crucial role in shaping the next phase of industrial growth in the state.
With its focus on partnerships, sustainability, and expansion, the event is poised to redefine Odisha’s position on the national textile map and create new opportunities for local and global stakeholders alike.
