Net formal job creation under the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) stood at 1.85 million in August, a jump of 9.07% compared to 1.69 million added in August 2023, government data shows.
As per the provisional data, released by the ministry of labour and employment on Sunday, the retirement fund body witnessed a month-on-month decline of 7.03% when compared to 1.99 million net formal jobs created in July this year, which was the highest ever addition to EPFO since the computation of data in 2018.
