Bhubaneswar- The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially announced the results of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2025, the gateway to undergraduate medical education across India. Among the 22,09,318 aspirants who appeared for the exam this year, 12,36,531 candidates have successfully qualified.
Standing out among them is Snehasis Das from Odisha, who has emerged as the state topper. A student of DPS Kalinga, Snehasis secured an impressive All India Rank (AIR) of 60, placing him in the top 100 performers nationwide. He scored an exceptional 99.9972390 percentile, making him a proud representative of Odisha in the national merit list.
The national top rank was claimed by Mahesh Kumar from Rajasthan, followed by Utkarsh Awadhiya from Madhya Pradesh and Krishang Joshi from Maharashtra.
Odisha also witnessed another remarkable achievement through Pabitra Sethy, who secured the 6th position among the top 10 SC category rankers in NEET UG 2025. Pabitra achieved an AIR of 180, highlighting the growing excellence of students from the state in competitive medical entrance exams.
This year, a total of 59,238 students from Odisha appeared in the NEET UG exam, out of which 31,673 candidates qualified—a significant success rate that reflects the state’s strengthening academic foundation in medical education.
Qualified candidates are now eligible to participate in the Medical Counselling Committee’s (MCC) All India Quota counselling, in addition to their respective state-level counselling rounds, for securing seats in MBBS, BDS, and other undergraduate medical courses in government and private institutions across the country.
With the results now declared, Odisha celebrates the commendable performance of its students, who have once again demonstrated dedication, hard work, and academic excellence in one of India’s most competitive examinations.
