Bargarh (Odisha)- Bargarh’s pride in its newly constructed railway station has quickly turned into public frustration, as the roof of the Bargarh Road Railway Station began leaking heavily during the ongoing monsoon season. Completed just a few months ago, the structure is now facing serious scrutiny over its construction quality after rainwater seeped through the ceilings, leaving passengers drenched and desperate for shelter.

Visual evidence of the situation came to light when Bargarh MLA Ashwini Kumar Sarangi shared a video on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), where stranded commuters can be seen standing helplessly under the leaking roof. The video quickly gained attention and raised alarm over the apparent negligence by those responsible for the construction work.

In his post, the MLA tagged Union Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, requesting immediate intervention. He highlighted the urgency of the issue, pointing out how the faulty construction is not only causing discomfort but also putting public safety at risk.

The visuals of passengers, including elderly citizens and women, trying to dodge dripping water have sparked outrage among local residents and travelers alike. People are now demanding a thorough inspection of the site and strong action against the agencies involved in the project’s execution.

Despite growing criticism, there has been no official response yet from the Railway Ministry. However, calls for urgent repair and a detailed inquiry into the apparent construction lapses are growing louder, as the leaking roof stands as a stark reminder of infrastructure failure in the face of natural elements.
