Bargarh: The annual festival “Janani” was celebrated on Monday at Sanskar International School, Bargarh. The event saw the presence of distinguished guests, including Bargarh MP Shri Pradeep Purohit, the school’s founder Mrs. Savitri Devi Sawadia, Chairman Shri Suman Sawadia, Vice Chairman Shri Roshan Sawadia, Director Shri Ajit Pattnayak, Principal Shri Karan Sahu, Director Shri Siddharth Sawadia, Mrs. Babita Sawadia, Mrs. Megha Sawadia, Miss Shraddha Sawadia, Academic Coordinator Mrs. Seema Sahu, and coordinators Mrs. Mamata Sinha and Miss Rita Nayak. The program was also graced by teachers, students, and parents.
The festival began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the dignitaries, accompanied by Vedic chanting. All esteemed guests were welcomed with badges and honored with shawls and green saplings as mementos. Principal Shri Karan Sahu presented the school’s achievements from the previous year. Chairman Shri Suman Sawadia expressed gratitude to the parents and announced the opening of a second branch of Sanskar Saplings at Gurudwara Chowk.
Special activities like Matru-Pitru Puja, Model United Nations, and adventure camps were highlighted as unique offerings in Western Odisha, emphasizing their importance for students.
Director Shri Ajit Pattnayak advised students to embrace discipline, stating that “discipline is the only path to success.”
Director Shri Siddharth Sawadia announced the construction of a multipurpose hall for badminton, table tennis, and cultural programs.
Top students included Usha Rani Dora (Class IX), Pihu Agrawal, Divyansh Jindal (Class VII), Riya Jena (Class XII Commerce), and Mohit Kumar Agrawal (Class XI Commerce).
Student of the Year Awards: Junior Category – Subhangi Chatterjee (Class V), Senior Category – Sameeksha Suna (Class VI-VIII), and Papun Sa (Class XI Science).
Sub-Junior Runner-Up: Newton House; Champion: Einstein House.
Junior Runner-Up: Darwin House; Champion: Einstein House.

The CBSE toppers from the 2023-24 session, including Sonakshi Biramwal (Class X) and others, were honored. Students scoring above 90% and excelling in CA Foundation and NEET entrance exams were also felicitated.
The cultural program began with Odissi dance as a tribute to Lord Jagannath.
Stunning presentations by tiny tots from Sanskar Saplings, including ramp walks and dance performances, enthralled the audience.
Group dances showcased popular styles from Punjab, Chhattisgarh, South India, Sambalpuri, and Rajasthan.
Highlights included skits like Krishna Leela, skating performances, and a moving depiction of freedom fighters like Veer Surendra Sai and Bhagat Singh.
The festival’s theme, “Maatru Devo Bhava” (Mother is God), resonated deeply, celebrating Indian culture and values. It concluded with colorful performances, leaving a lasting impression on the audience.
