Ambabhona (Odisha): Atal Charitable Trust organized its first-ever blood donation camp on the premises of Panchayat Girls’ High School, Bhukta, under Ambabhona Block. The event was held to commemorate the birth anniversaries of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and Veer Surendra Sai, under the chairmanship of the Trust’s President, Shri Shivaji Patel.
The camp was inaugurated by former Block Chairman Shri Fakir Mohan Patel, who also served as the school’s founder. Dignitaries like senior journalist Hemant Pradhan, senior citizen Mukund Pradhan, retired teacher Santosh Meher, Aswini Darjee of Cancer Fighters Group, Social Worker Smt. Sanghamitra Patel, Bhukta Sarpanch Balaram Bisar, and the school’s headmistress Smt. Pushpanjali Sahu were honored with bouquets and gifts during the program.
In a special announcement, Shri Shivaji Patel declared financial rewards of Rs10,000, Rs 5,000, and Rs3,000 for the top three academically meritorious girls from economically weaker sections in Grade 10, as part of the Trust’s initiative to promote education.
The blood donation camp was facilitated by the Bargarh Blood Bank team, including technicians Lipi Kamp, Sujit Kumar Sahu, Saroj Suna, and Shrivatsa Seth. A total of 104 units of blood were collected during the event.
The program witnessed active participation from the Trust members, school staff, and volunteers, including key contributors like Prafulla Pradhan, Balaram Sahu, Om Prakash Bhoi, Ajit Dash, Nityananda Behera, and journalist Prakash Rath. The collective efforts of all ensured the success of the camp.
