New Delhi/ Bhubaneswar- During his official visit to the national capital, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi met with President Droupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and top BJP leaders to discuss the roadmap for Odisha’s accelerated development. In a series of high-level meetings, Majhi emphasized strengthening Centre-state coordination to ensure holistic progress in infrastructure, welfare, healthcare, and employment opportunities across Odisha.
Expressing deep gratitude for the central government’s ongoing support, the Chief Minister described his meeting with Prime Minister Modi as productive and forward-looking. Both leaders discussed various initiatives aimed at transforming Odisha into a model state, aligning with the broader national vision of a developed India. Majhi reiterated his commitment to building a prosperous and self-reliant Odisha through sustained collaboration with the Centre.
The Chief Minister also paid a courtesy visit to President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan, where they engaged in an in-depth discussion on Odisha’s developmental journey. The conversation highlighted the importance of cohesive efforts between state and central agencies to accelerate progress, particularly in underserved regions.
Earlier in the day, Majhi participated in the NITI Aayog governing council meeting, underscoring Odisha’s readiness to align with national development goals. He also met BJP National President and Union Health Minister JP Nadda to discuss strengthening Odisha’s healthcare system. During this meeting, Majhi underlined the need for expanded medical infrastructure, enhanced healthcare education, and improved services in remote areas, seeking sustained support from the Centre.
The Chief Minister extended invitations to both Prime Minister Modi and JP Nadda to attend the celebrations marking the completion of one year of the BJP-led government in Odisha. The event is expected to showcase the achievements and future plans under the Majhi administration.
In these meetings, Majhi also reaffirmed the state’s dedication to inclusive growth and economic empowerment, pledging that Odisha will continue to play a vital role in shaping the country’s development narrative. His engagements in Delhi signal a strong intent to foster synergy between the state and central governments for the long-term benefit of the people of Odisha.
