Adventure Camp’ Celebrated at Sanskar International School

Bargarh: A three-day training camp was inaugurated on Friday, January 3, 2025, at Sanskar International School in Bargarh. This annual event, organized for the past decade, was graced by the presence of the school Chairman, Mr. Suman Sawadia, Director Mr. Ajit Pattnaik, Principal Mr. Karan Sahu, Director Mr. Siddharth Sawadia, Mrs. Babita Sawadia, Academic coordinator Mrs. Seema Sahu, Coordinators Mrs. Mamata Sinha and Ms. Rita Nayak, along with students, staff, and members of the management committee.

The camp began with a traditional aarti ceremony. A team of 19 trainers from the New Delhi-based “The New Horizon Adventures,” led by Sumit Rathore, conducted a range of activities. It was divided into two phases, with students from grades 1 to 7 participating in the first phase and grades 8, 9, and 11 in the second.

Accommodation for participants was arranged in 27 tents. Activities included Tyrolean Traverse, rappelling, flying fox, slacklining, jumaring, high rope bridge, challenge courses, kayaking, water rollers, and field gravity exercises. Team-building activities such as zorbing, trust falls, tug of war, and brain drain simulations were also conducted. Command tasks featured Tarzan swings, rope climbing, monkey crawl, double rope bridges, commando crawl, Burma bridge, commando net, and target shooting.

Evening programs included bonfires, cultural performances, and tent-based activities. A hot air balloon ride was a special highlight, attracting widespread attention.

The event also recognized participants for their performances in various categories. In the junior category, Arya Kansal and Aarohi Agrawal were awarded Best Captain, Saachi Lath and Navya Agrawal were named Best Camper, Aarav Agrawal and Disha Gupta were honored as Best Eco-Friendly Participants, and Adyansh Das and Sanvi Agrawal received recognition for being Best in Adventure Activity. Aryaveer Agrawal was acknowledged as the Outstanding Person in Camp, while Fearless Warriors were named Best Team. Thrilling Champs received the award for Best in Cultural Activity, and Tent No. 18 was declared Best Tent.

In the Senior category, Som Prakash Sahu was awarded Best Captain, Tripti Jain was named Best Camper, Mayank Jain was honored as Best Eco-Friendly Participant, and Hridesh Sahu was recognized as Best in Adventure Activity. Samar Jain was acknowledged as the Outstanding Person in Camp, while Blue Eagles were named Best Team. Sun Risers received the award for Best in Cultural Activity, and Tent No. 4 was declared Best Tent.

Chairman Suman Sawadia talked about event; The three-day training not only offered participants an opportunity to engage in adventure and team-building activities but also instilled valuable life skills and confidence.

Events like this play a vital role in shaping young minds, fostering resilience, leadership, and teamwork among students. The enthusiasm and determination displayed by all participants throughout the camp were truly commendable. Such initiatives highlight the school’s commitment to holistic education, blending academics with physical and mental development.

The Adventure Camp left participants with unforgettable memories, newfound skills, and the motivation to take on future challenges with vigor. The organizers expressed pride in the students’ active participation and encouraged them to carry forward the lessons learned during this camp in their personal and academic endeavors.
