Bargarh (TNC, Correspondent) –
The Sahodaya School Complex of Western Odisha organized a badminton tournament at the Sanskar International School of Bargarh. The event was graced by prominent personalities, including Chairman Suman Sawadia, Director Ajit Pattnaik, Sahodaya President and Principal of Sanskar International School Karan Sahu, Director Siddharth Sawadia, Principal of Little Angel Public School, Barpali N.K. Manikandan, Academic Coordinator Seema Sahu, and Coordinators Mamata Sinha and Rita Nayak, along with other teachers.
A total of 106 participants (78 boys and 28 girls) from 17 schools in Western Odisha took part in the tournament.
In the girls’ final, Delhi Public School (DPS), Sambalpur, faced Veer Surendra Sai English Medium School, Sambalpur. DPS emerged victorious, with Jia Saha winning the singles event, while Jia Saha and Hiya Saha secured victory in doubles. Hiya Saha also won the reverse singles. From Veer Surendra Sai English Medium School, Ashwika Mishra secured runner-up in singles, while Jayara Parveen was the runner-up in both doubles and reverse singles.
In the boys’ final, DPS Sambalpur competed against Veer Surendra Sai English Medium School, Sambalpur, with Veer Surendra Sai emerging as the winner. Ekansh won the singles title, while Ekansh and Ayank clinched the doubles title. Ayank also emerged victorious in reverse singles. From DPS Sambalpur, Shlok secured the runner-up position in singles, while Shlok and Rishit were runners-up in doubles. Rishit also secured the runner-up spot in reverse singles.
Sahodaya President Karan Sahu congratulated all winners and participants for their excellent performance in the tournament.
