Bhubaneswar:- In a stride towards digitizing public services and making governance more accessible, the Odisha government has launched a dedicated mobile application aimed at streamlining revenue-related services. The new ‘e-registration’ app, inaugurated by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, brings essential revenue services to the fingertips of citizens, offering convenience, transparency, and efficiency.
The app is designed to serve as a one-stop digital platform for all major functions of the Revenue Department. From land registration and online slot booking to downloading income certificates, certified copies, and tracking application statuses, the platform consolidates a wide array of public services into a single user-friendly interface. The initiative reflects the state’s increasing focus on leveraging modern technology to ensure seamless delivery of public services.
During the launch, the Chief Minister emphasized the government’s commitment to good governance through innovation and ease of access. He noted that tasks which once demanded physical visits and lengthy processing times can now be accomplished in just a few clicks from the comfort of home. He lauded the department for its efforts in simplifying these services and remarked that the new system would eliminate unnecessary delays, reduce dependency on intermediaries, and ensure greater transparency.
The Chief Minister also unveiled the Revenue Department’s annual success booklet, showcasing key milestones and reforms undertaken in the past year. Highlighting the transformative changes introduced since the new government assumed office, he reiterated the administration’s priority to make governance people-centric and technology-driven.
With the launch of the e-registration mobile app, the need for physically visiting sub-registrar offices or service centers is drastically reduced. Users can now apply for and download certified copies of deeds, check the market value of land, identify nearby registration offices, and even provide feedback on services—all within a few taps.
This initiative marks a crucial leap in Odisha’s digital governance journey, reinforcing the idea that technology can bridge the gap between government and citizens. By removing bureaucratic hurdles and digitizing essential services, the government aims to create a more responsive, accountable, and citizen-friendly administration.
