Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has launched a central command control centre to ensure effective coordination and provide first-response assistance during the 18th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD), scheduled to take place in Bhubaneswar from January 8 to 10, 2025.
The newly established facility aims to offer comprehensive support and information to the thousands of Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) and Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) expected to attend the event. According to the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), approximately 7,000 overseas participants are anticipated in the state capital for the three-day event.
A dedicated helpline, accessible by dialing 1929, has been set up to connect visitors with the command centre. An Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system is also being developed to manage inquiries related to PBD-2025, ensuring a seamless flow of information and assistance.
