Bargarh: Sanskar International School, Bargarh hosted its Annual Sports Day, “Parakram 2024”, with great enthusiasm and participation from students, teachers, and parents alike.
The event commenced with the chief guest, Mrs. Sabitri Devi Sawadia, lighting the sports torch and passing it to the athletes for the torch relay. Players from all four houses—Einstein, Newton, Curie, and Darwin—from Einstein Snehal Agrawal, Arjun Aditya Chowhan, from Newton Chahak Patel,Anshuman Sahu, from Curie Naitik Agrawal, Samparna Bhardwaj and from Darwin Anhweha Barik, Aryan Khan were participated in the relay, which culminated in the placement of the torch at its stand. Following the hoisting of the flag by the chief guest, the sports day was officially declared open.
The event included a variety of games and races tailored for students across all grades. Sanskar Sapling Pre-primary students engaged in activities like the Ball Collecting Race for nursery, Going to School for LKG, and the Balloon Race for UKG. For primary classes, events included 30m and hurdle races for Class 1, 50m sprint, sack race, and ball throw for Class 2, and 3-legged race, marble-and-spoon race, and long jump for Classes 3 and 4. Senior students showcased their skills in events like the 100m sprint and long jump, captivating the audience with their determination and sportsmanship.
Chief Guest Mrs Sabitri Devi Sawadia, including Chairman Mr. Suman Sawadia, Vice-Chairman Mrs. Babita Sawadia, Director Mr. Ajit Pattnaik, Principal Mr. Karan Sahu, Director Siddharth Sawadia, Mrs Mamata Agrawal, Mrs Megha Sawadia, Shradha Sawadia and Academic Coordinator Mrs. Seema Sahu, Coordinator Mamata Sinha, Rita Nayak among others, graced the occasion. The attendees encouraged all participants, fostering a spirit of healthy competition and enthusiasm.
The event concluded with a medal distribution ceremony where winners were felicitated by the dignitaries. Mrs. Seema Sahu delivered the vote of thanks, marking the end of a day filled with energy, joy, and inspiring performances by the young athletes.
