Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed BJP workers in Bhubaneswar on Friday, highlighting the party’s unique strengths. He said, “First Odisha, then Haryana, and now Maharashtra – this is the hallmark of BJP. It reflects the strength of BJP workers. The results of the Maharashtra elections, Haryana elections, and by-elections across the country have instilled confidence nationwide, and I can see that reflected in your eyes.”
The Prime Minister noted that protests have always existed, but in recent times, there has been a significant shift. “The spirit of the Constitution is being trampled upon. The dignity of democracy is being disregarded. Those who once considered power their birthright have been out of power at the center for a decade. They are angry with the people for blessing someone other than them. Their anger has led them to conspire against the nation,” he said.
PM Modi accused the opposition of misleading the public to take the country in the wrong direction. “Their shop of lies and rumors has been running for the past 75 years, and now they have intensified their mission. Their activities are becoming a major challenge for patriotic citizens.”
He urged people to stay vigilant and expose falsehoods. “These power-hungry individuals have consistently deceived the public. Every time, they come up with a big lie. In 2019, the ‘watchman’ was accused of being a thief, but by 2024, they could no longer say so. Their sole aim is to mislead the people and seize power.”
The Prime Minister also criticized opposition parties for spreading misinformation about the BJP. “Despite their efforts, the public continues to bless BJP. Just months before the elections, political experts had dismissed BJP in Odisha. But when the results came, everyone was surprised. The central government’s work and the bond it has created with the people of Odisha have reached every household,” he said.
He reiterated BJP’s consistent success, citing victories in Odisha, Haryana, and Maharashtra. “This is the strength of BJP workers. The recent election results across the country have filled the nation with confidence,” Modi added.
The Prime Minister shared his experience at the recent Odisha Parv in Delhi, where he witnessed the state’s rich heritage and culture. “The warmth and affection from the people of Odisha made it a memorable event for me,” he said.
PM Modi emphasized the BJP-led central government’s focus on Odisha’s development. “From empowering women with the Subhadra Yojana to ensuring representation, significant steps have been taken. I’m proud that through BJP’s efforts, Draupadi Murmu, a tribal daughter of Odisha, is now the President of India. This has elevated the pride of the tribal community across the nation and inspired confidence in every section of society,” he said, adding that her journey will inspire generations to come.
